The pretty village of Warkworth is dominated by the castle which overlooks the village and the River Coquet. The castle which dates back to the 12th century, is open to visitors. It is owned by English Heritage, details of which can be viewed here. Half a mile from the castle is Warkworth Hermitage, which is only accessible by boat.
The village is home to welcoming Inns, restaurants and artisan shops. Our cottages are only a 20 minute walk from Warkworth Golf Club which dates back to 1891.
